we had a productive meeting at Georgetown Inn. The meeting was about: “how can we prevent the termination of The Vsion by the end of May 31st, 2012?” The solution was about the coop concept that has been floating around for the past 3-4 months have taking form last night at the meeting.

In conclusion The Vsion operation will be terminated on May 31st, 2012. There will be no dismantle of the climbing gym and all its assets will stay in place with the condition the iBoulder Coop will take care of the entire operations cost for the next four months. With this strategic process it will gives enough time for the iBoulder Coop to take shape and solidify its foundation.

Since The Vsion and iBoulder Coop are two different identities. You may find more information about iBoulder Coop on it's Facebook page.

Thank you for your understanding. Our apology if we have set your thoughts under stress or sadness, there are still hope to keep a great climbing training terrain alive. If you support this coop movement get your cheque book ready and stay tune for more development.

Dear Vsion users and lovers,

After 12 years of hard work to promote the development of indoor climbing in Canmore, throughout Canada and worldwide, The Vsion will cease its operations on May 31st, 2012.

I came to Canmore in 1996 with a dream to be a part of the development of sport climbing in this valley. The local guidebook published last year refers to the Bow Valley as “Canada’s Premiere Summer Sport Climbing Destination.” It has been an incredible journey and I feel very fortunate that I have played a part in this achievement. I wish to thank everyone for your support throughout this journey; none of it would have been possible without your help.

I am especially proud of the development and the success of our youth climbing programs. The energy and the generosity of the various young climbers that participated on our local teams throughout the years have been an infinite source of motivation to improve and to offer them the best opportunities for development.

At the end of September 2012, I will move to Montreal with my family where I will continue pursuing my goals within the indoor climbing industry. I will be working as manager for Allez Up,a climbing gym established in Montreal in the early 90s.

I welcome you to come and visit and have a final run of The Vsion from May 28ththrough May 31.stDuring this time, the gym will be “open door” - no charge between the hours of 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

There will be a garage sale held on Friday, June 1st, Saturday, June 2ndand Sunday, June 3rdat the climbing gym from 10am to 5pm.

I hope to have the chance to see and thank everyone before I leave. If not, I wish you all the very best.
